# Update clusters in federation

`POST /_api/members`

## Request

Update the clusters in federation.

## Request body

- FederationMemberPeerip
  - `peer` string: Hostname of the peer cluster that needs to be added to the federation.

## Response `202`

Successfully updated clusters in federation.

- DatacenterMembersPostRc200
  - `code` integer: HTTP response code.
  - `error` boolean: Flag if there is an error in response. *False* for this response.
  - `result` boolean

## Other responses

- `400`: Failed due to missing or malformed data. Verify that all parameters are complete.
- `401`: Failed because you do not have administrator permissions.
