# Get a current Azure DevOps access token for an integration

`POST /integrations/{integration_id}/azureBoards/sync/accessToken`

Returns the integration's Azure DevOps access token, refreshing it when it has expired or when force_refresh is set. Only the access token is disclosed. Every call is audit-logged. A token is force-refreshed at most once a minute; a forced refresh sooner is refused with 429. Restricted to API keys with global read_secret permission on integrations.

  - `force_refresh` boolean — Refresh even when the token has not expired, because Azure DevOps just refused it

  - `access_token` string, required
  - `expires_at` integer, required — Epoch milliseconds when the access token expires
  - `oauth_token_id` string, required
  - `integration_version` string, required — The integration's entity version, for createAzureBoardsSyncReconnectRequired
  - `identity_key` string, required — SHA-256 hex of the Entra identity Azure DevOps throttles this token as
  - `throttled_until` integer — Epoch milliseconds before which the identity must not call Azure DevOps; absent when not throttled

- `401` — User not authenticated
- `403` — User not authorized
- `404` — Entity not found
- `409` — Conflicts with the current state of the resource
- `429` — Unknown error
- `503` — Unknown error
