# Create a Transaction

`POST /v2/transactions`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.pre.transactiondesk.com`

Creates a new transaction file in the authenticated user's account.

## Request body

- object
  - `name` string, required: Name of the transaction file
  - `typeId` string, uuid: TransactionTypeGUID. See [Get Transaction Types](https://apidocs.lwolf.com/doc/transactiondesk-api/operation/operation-get-v2-transactions-types) endpoint for available values.
  - `statusId` string, uuid: TransactionStatusGUID. See [Get Transaction Statuses](https://apidocs.lwolf.com/doc/transactiondesk-api/operation/operation-get-v2-transactions-statuses) endpoint for available values.
