# Movie Metadata

`GET /svm/movies/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.luminatedata.com`
- URL: `https://api.luminatedata.com/svm/movies/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key` and API key in header `authorization`

Retrieves metadata for a movie

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

  - `data` MovieMetadata
    - `id` string: Unique Luminate ID assigned to the movie
    - `title` string: Title of the movie
    - `overview` string: Description of the movie
    - `runtime` integer: Runtime of the movie in minutes
    - `release_information` ReleaseDate[]: Release information about the movie
      - `release_date` string, date: Date the item was first available to stream formatted according to the ISO 8601 date standard (YYYY-MM-DD)
    - `genres` string[]: Genres associated with the movie
    - `platform_availability` string[]: Platforms where the movie can be viewed
    - `studios` string[]: List of studios involved in the production of the movie
    - `creators` string[]: Directors of the movie
    - `country_of_origin` string[]: Countries of origin of the movie as ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 codes
    - `original_language` string[]: Original languages of the movie as lowercase two-letter ISO 639-1 language codes (e.g., ['en', 'fr']). Languages without a two-letter code use a three-letter ISO 639-2/639-3 code (e.g., 'yue' for Cantonese, 'zxx' for no dialogue).
    - `original` boolean: Indicates whether the title is an original production for a platform
    - `original_platform` string: The platform for which this is an original production. Null if the title is not an original.
    - `external_ids` ExternalIds: External identifiers for the talent, such as the IMDb name ID
      - `imdb` string[]: IMDB ID
      - `lftv` string[]: Luminate Film & TV project ID

## Other responses

- `400`: Issue with client request
- `404`: Movie not found
