# Get late-breaking injury / availability for an event (Beta)

`GET /v1/events/{event_id}/injuries`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://lumify.ai`
- URL: `https://lumify.ai/v1/events/{event_id}/injuries`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

**Beta.** Structured player injury and availability status for an upcoming event, written by an automated monitoring pipeline that watches for late-breaking status changes. Beta coverage: NFL and MLB (more sports rolling out). NFL monitoring starts ~4.5 days before kickoff (Wednesday/Thursday practice reports); MLB stays on a 48-hour window. Checks run on a hours-to-start cadence and also when a main-market line moves ≥20 American-odds points or ≥1.0 spread/total point, plus a guaranteed pre-kickoff confirmation per sport. Subscribe to webhook event_type=injury for material/critical status changes (info reconfirms never fire). available:false is free. No in-game feed.

## Path parameters

- `event_id` integer, required: Lumify event ID

## Query parameters

- `exclude_status` string, nullable: Comma-separated injury statuses to drop from the response, e.g. exclude_status=ir to hide injured-reserve/long-term-IL rows (long-standing roster designations, not late-breaking news — these rows are also the most likely to have body_part=null, since roster/depth-chart sources report a designation + return-eligibility date rather than injury details). Does not affect available or X-Credits-Used, which reflect whether the monitor has written any report at all. Valid values: available, day_to_day, doubtful, ir, out, probable, questionable, suspended.

## Response `200`

Beta. Per-player status rows plus watch-queue timestamps. If the monitor has not yet written a report, returns 200 with available=false and is NOT charged (X-Credits-Used: 0).

- InjuriesResponse
  - `event_id` integer, required: Lumify event ID.
  - `available` boolean: false until the injury monitor has written at least one structured report for this event. available:false is not charged.
  - `last_checked_at` string, nullable: ISO-8601 UTC of the most recent Tier 1 search, any outcome.
  - `confirmed_at` string, nullable: ISO-8601 UTC of the guaranteed pre-kickoff confirmation for this event (sport-timed: NFL/NCAAF ~T-90min, MLB ~T-2.5h, soccer/NBA/NHL/NCAAB ~T-60min, tennis ~T-30min). Null until that checkpoint has run.
  - `next_check_at` string, nullable: ISO-8601 UTC of the next scheduled cadence check; null if watching stopped.
  - `injuries` InjuryItem[]: Per-player status rows. Empty when available is false.
    - `player` string, required: Player display name as extracted (always present).
    - `player_id` integer, nullable: Lumify player ID when the name bound to a roster/participant row; null if unmatched.
    - `team` string, nullable: Team display name when resolved; null for unmatched or tennis singles. When player_id is bound and the player's current roster team is one of this event's two participants, that roster team is served — not a stale or mis-attributed stored value.
    - `team_id` integer, nullable: Lumify team ID when resolved; null for unmatched or tennis singles. Same roster-current-team preference as team.
    - `status` string, required: Participation designation: out, doubtful, questionable, probable, day_to_day, ir, suspended, or available.
    - `previous_status` string, nullable: Prior status for this player on this event; null on first sighting.
    - `body_part` string, nullable: Injured body part when reported (e.g. ankle, hamstring).
    - `note` string, nullable: Short factual note from the source.
    - `source_url` string, nullable: Citation URL for the latest status.
    - `severity` string, required: info (reconfirmed/unchanged, or a first sighting of a routine questionable/probable/day_to_day/available tag with no prior status to compare against), material (a real status change, including a first-seen out/doubtful/ir/suspended), or critical (out/doubtful from available/probable with ≤6h to start).
    - `last_changed_at` string, nullable: ISO-8601 UTC timestamp of the last status transition.

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
