# Claim Verifications

`POST /v1/verifications/claim`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.lumethic.com`
- URL: `https://api.lumethic.com/v1/verifications/claim`
- Auth: `OAuth2PasswordBearer` (a scheme the document does not define)

Claim anonymous verifications into the authenticated account.

Transfers every still-unclaimed verification belonging to the given
`anonymous_user_id` to the caller's account, so a user who verified photos
anonymously and then registered keeps those verifications.

**Authentication Required**: Valid API key or JWT token

**Request Body**: `ClaimVerificationsRequest` containing:
- **anonymous_user_id**: The client-generated anonymous ID (a bearer secret)
  under which the verifications were created.

**Behavior**:
- Idempotent: re-claiming an already-claimed set from the same account
  returns `claimed: 0`.
- Transfer-only: the endpoint never enumerates or returns verifications for an
  arbitrary `anonymous_user_id` — you only ever see what you successfully claim.
- Claimed verifications appear in the account's history but do not consume the
  account's monthly quota.

**Status Codes**:
- 200: Claim processed (see `claimed` for how many transferred)
- 409: The verifications are already owned by a different account
- 410: The verifications are older than the 30-day claim window
- 429: Too many claim attempts for this account

  - `anonymous_user_id` string, required: The anonymous user ID whose verifications should be claimed

## Response `200`

Anonymous verifications claimed

- ClaimVerificationsResponse: Result of claiming anonymous verifications.
  - `claimed` integer, required: Number of verifications transferred into the account
  - `verification_ids` string[], required: IDs of the verifications that were claimed

## Other responses

- `404`: Not found
- `409`: Already claimed by another account
- `410`: Claim window elapsed
- `422`: Validation Error
- `429`: Too many claim attempts
