# Add Verification Invite

`POST /v1/verifications/{verification_id}/share/invites`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.lumethic.com`
- URL: `https://api.lumethic.com/v1/verifications/{verification_id}/share/invites`
- Auth: `OAuth2PasswordBearer` (a scheme the document does not define)

Invite a specific user to access a shared verification.

Add an email address to the access list for a restricted verification. The invited user will
receive an email notification with the share link and can access the verification results.

**Authentication Required**: Valid API key or JWT token (verification owner only)

**Prerequisites**: Verification must already be shared with "restricted" access type.

**Path Parameters**:
- **verification_id**: Unique identifier for the verification

**Request Body**: `VerificationShareInviteRequest` containing:
- **email**: Email address of the user to invite

**Response**: Returns `VerificationShareInviteResponse` with:
- **email**: The invited email address
- **user_exists**: Whether this email belongs to a registered Lumethic user

**Email Notification**: The invited user receives an email with:
- Verification share link
- Information about who shared it
- Verification date and basic details

**Status Codes**:
- 200: User invited successfully
- 400: Verification is not shared or not set to restricted access
- 404: Verification not found
- 403: Access denied (not verification owner)

**Use Cases**:
- Share verification results with specific clients or colleagues
- Grant access to legal teams for evidence review
- Collaborate with editors on photo authenticity

**Note**: Users can be invited multiple times safely — duplicates are handled automatically.

- VerificationShareInviteResponse: Response after inviting a user to access a shared verification.

## Other responses

- `400`: Not shared
- `403`: Sharing not available
- `404`: Not found
- `422`: Validation Error
