# Add a comment to a verification

`POST /v1/verifications/{verification_id}/comments`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.lumethic.com`
- URL: `https://api.lumethic.com/v1/verifications/{verification_id}/comments`
- Auth: `OAuth2PasswordBearer` (a scheme the document does not define)

Post an internal comment. The author is the calling user; API-key calls carry the key's owner.

## Response `201`

Successful Response

- CommentResponse: A comment on a verification, visible to the owning account only.

  - `author_user_id` string, uuid, nullable, required: Null when the author's user was deleted
  - `author_name` string, nullable, required: Author's display name at read time; null when unknown
  - `body` string, required
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required
  - `edited_at` string, date-time, nullable: Set when the body was changed after posting

## Other responses

- `404`: Verification not found
- `422`: Empty or oversized comment, or comment limit reached
