# Starts a ludo CLI browser login (Roles: none, user)

`POST /cli/auth/start`

## Request body

- CliAuthStartPayload
  - `platform` string — The CLI's OS (darwin, linux, win32), shown on the approval page.
  - `client_version` string

## Response `200`

Success

- CliAuthStart
  - `device_code` string — Secret the CLI polls with. Never shown to the user.
  - `user_code` string — Short code the user checks on the approval page, e.g. WDJB-MJHT.
  - `verification_url` string
  - `verification_url_complete` string
  - `expires_in` integer — Seconds until the codes expire.
  - `interval` integer — Seconds to wait between polls.
