# Request a refund of unused purchased advertising funds (website only)

`POST /v1/owner/ads/refund-requests`

## Request

Requests a refund of unused purchased funds (never promotional credits) to the original payment method; at most the refundable purchased amount, one open request at a time. Approved refunds are initiated within 10 business days after ownership and the amount are confirmed. Website only: requests from the mobile apps are refused with 403 web_only_action. Only the business's human owner can do this: agent credentials are refused with 403 ads_owner_action_required, and a fresh second factor is required (403 owner_step_up_required).
