# Update frequency

`PUT /2026-04/subscription/{subscriptionId}/frequency`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.loopsubscriptions.com/admin`

- Auth: API key in header `X-Loop-Token`

This endpoint allows you to update the billing frequency of a subscription contract.

- `subscriptionId` integer, required

## Request body

- object
  - `billingPolicy` object, required
    - `interval` 'WEEK' | 'MONTH' | 'YEAR', required
    - `intervalCount` integer, required
  - `deliveryPolicy` object
    - `interval` 'WEEK' | 'MONTH' | 'YEAR'
    - `intervalCount` integer
  - `nextBillingDateEpoch` integer: If not passed, the next order date for the subscription will remain the same.
  - `discountType` 'OLD' | 'NEW' | 'CUSTOM', required: Use new discounts as per the new frequency or continue with existing discounts or pass discountType as CUSTOM only if isCustom key is sent as true.
  - `sellingPlanGroupId` integer: The sellingPlanGroupId which has to be applied on the lines.
  - `isCustom` boolean: Pass this key to apply a custom selling plan.
  - `customDiscount` object: To be passed when discountType is set as 'CUSTOM'
    - `type` 'PRICE' | 'FIXED_AMOUNT' | 'PERCENTAGE'
    - `value` number, float
