# Adjust prepaid credits

`PATCH /2026-04/subscription/{subscriptionId}/credits`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.loopsubscriptions.com/admin`

- Auth: API key in header `X-Loop-Token`

This endpoint allows you to adjust the prepaid credit balance of a subscription by adding, deducting, or setting a final credit balance.

## Path parameters

- `subscriptionId` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `amountType` 'DIFFERENCE' | 'FINAL', required: Determines how the provided amount is applied to the subscription's prepaid credit balance
  - `amount` integer, required: The amount to add, deduct, or set as the prepaid credit balance
  - `reason` string, required: The reason for adjusting the prepaid credit balance

## Response `200`

  - `success` boolean: Indicates whether the credit balance adjustment was processed successfully.
  - `message` string: A message describing the result of the request.
  - `data` object: Contains details of the prepaid credit balance adjustment.
    - `oldBalance` integer: The prepaid credit balance of the subscription before the adjustment
    - `newBalance` integer: The prepaid credit balance of the subscription after the adjustment
    - `adjustedAmount` integer: The actual amount by which the prepaid credit balance was adjusted
    - `reason` string: The reason provided for the credit balance adjustment
    - `userEmail` string: The email address or identifier of the user who performed the credit balance adjustment
  - `code` string: The response code indicating the outcome of the request
