# Delete a contact

`DELETE /contacts/{contactId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.loopify.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.loopify.com/contacts/{contactId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://auth.loopify.com/connect/authorize`, token URL `https://auth.loopify.com/token`, scopes: `ContactDataManagement`, `WriteContacts`)

#### Auth policies: ContactDataManagement,WriteContacts

## Path parameters

- `contactId` string, required

## Response `200`

Contact was successfully deleted

- Deleted: Object is not deleted if field is null or { deletedStamp: null}
  - `deletedStamp` string, date-time, nullable: null means not deleted
  - `userId` integer
  - `purging` string, date-time, nullable

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden
- `500`: Delete failed
