# Create a department for an employer

- DepartmentGetPostObject
  - `id` string, uuid: The unique identifier of an object (GUID/UUID)
  - `code` integer: The visible identifier of the department.
  - `description` string: The visible description (i.e. name) of the department.
  - `subDepartmentOf` SubDepartmentOf, nullable: If the department is a sub department (i.e. underlying) of another department, then the key-field of that other department may be entered here.
    - `key` string, uuid: The unique identifier of an object (GUID/UUID)
    - `code` integer
    - `description` string
  - `emailLeaveRequest` string, nullable: Recipient e-mail adress for notification in case of leave requests. Typically this is the mailadress of a manager that would get a notification mail when a new leave requet is to be processed.
  - `archive` Archive: Archive status for the department.
    - `isArchived` boolean: Derived by this logic: IsArchived = ArchivedDate <= CurrentDate.
    - `archivedDate` string, date, nullable
