# Update a language

`PUT /projects/{project_id}:{branch}/languages/{lang_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.lokalise.com/api2`
- URL: `https://api.lokalise.com/api2/projects/{project_id}:{branch}/languages/{lang_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Api-Token`

Updates the properties of a language. Requires *Manage languages* admin right.

Requires <code>write_languages</code> OAuth access scope.

  - `lang_iso` string: Language/locale code.
  - `lang_name` string: Language name.
  - `plural_forms` string[]: List of supported plural forms.

    - `is_rtl` boolean: Whether the language is Right-To-Left.

    - `cc_iso` string: Country code, associated with the language.
