# Categories List Route

The category taxonomy (2026-10-07) - the names /v1/search's `category` filter accepts on this marketplace and the ids
/v1/category takes. Roots by default, one level down per call with parent_id. Every active category, with the warehouse id,
the Amazon browse-node id, the local name (and its English alias where we hold one), path, depth, number of children and the
observed ASIN / brand counts. Free, any key, rate-limited like every call; cached ten minutes.

## Query parameters

- `country` string: Amazon marketplace: us, uk, de, ca, au, fr, it, es, jp, mx, br.
- `parent_id` integer, nullable: A category id: list its children. Omit for the marketplace's root categories.
