# The live seal for one business, as an SVG image

The Stamp seal drawn from the receipt as served at request time, for a business to place on its own site, quotes or print: VERIFIED when every field is verified, n OF m VERIFIED when some are, NOT YET CHECKED when none, with the date checked. When the City register shows the cited licence cancelled, revoked or under appeal (the register_note /v1/trust serves beside the receipt), the seal reads CITY: CANCELLED, CITY: REVOKED or CITY: APPEALED with the City's change date instead, never VERIFIED. A closure field, where a receipt carries one, is shown on the receipt and never counted on the seal. One size for every business; it changes the day the record does and can never be bought. Resolves exactly as /v1/trust (one of domain, phone, license, address; or /v1/seal/{domain}). A business not on the record answers 404 with a seal reading NOT ON THE RECORD; one that could not be checked, because a market that might hold it could not be read, answers 503 record_unavailable as /v1/trust does, never that seal. Counted as seal_read, never as a trust read.

## Other responses

- `300`: Ambiguous identifier: a notice seal, no source verification
- `400`: No identifier, or more than one
- `404`: Not on the record: a notice seal
- `503`: record_unavailable: a market that might hold the business could not be read. With market, the market named; without it, a market asked in the fall-through while no market that could be read holds the business. Not a finding either way; Retry-After says when to ask again.
