# Official parcel record: lot, land use, acreage, year built (verified counties; no owner/value on the free rail)

`POST /api/locus-parcel-lookup`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.locus.report`
- URL: `https://api.locus.report/api/locus-parcel-lookup`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `PAYMENT-SIGNATURE`
  - API key in header `Authorization`

Returns cited land use, acreage, year built and legal jurisdiction for an address or jurisdiction-scoped parcel id. Returns the same records as locus_parcel_lookup. Use this when your client can only call paid x402 routes. Use locus-parcel-value instead when you need assessed value and sale fields from the resolved official parcel. Wired official parcel sources only. No owner or mailing fields.

## Request body

- object
  - `address` string: Street address to resolve to a parcel, e.g. '123 Oak Park Dr, Cary, NC 27519'. Provide this or parcelId with state and county.
  - `parcelId` string: Exact public parcel identifier. Provide state and county with parcelId.
  - `state` string: Two-letter state code required with parcelId.
  - `county` string: County name required with parcelId.
  - `includeIncidents` boolean: Optional boolean; include bounded proximity incident counts when available. Default false. Counts only, never a safety verdict.
  - `radiusMeters` number: Optional incident search radius in meters; default 1000, max 5000.
  - `lookbackDays` number: Optional incident lookback window in days; default 365, max 1825.

## Response `200`

Atomic read result. A substantive result is paid; an empty/out-of-coverage result carries charged:false (x402 settlement suppressed).

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request body.
- `402`: Payment Required. For x402 v2, repeat the identical request with a valid PAYMENT-SIGNATURE header (legacy X-PAYMENT is accepted for compatibility), or use Authorization: Payment for MPP Tempo when advertised in x-payment-info.offers.
