Connections by AI client, origin and launch path, from each machine's latest heartbeat
in the window. `machines` is distinct machine_id; ai_client is always a catalog id, null
(not reported), `unrecognized` (a name in no catalog entry) or `no-client-yet` (a server
that reports and has had no `initialize`).
