# Send a chat message

`POST /chat/send`

## Request

Send a message and receive an AI reply via the pipeline.

## Request body

- SendMessageRequest
  - `content` string: Alternative field for message text
  - `conversationId` string: Existing conversation ID
  - `message` string: Alternative field for message text
  - `model` string: Override LLM model
  - `title` string: Title for a new conversation
  - `userMessage` string: The user message text

## Response `200`

Chat reply

- SendMessageResponse
  - `conversationId` string, nullable
  - `pipelineRunId` string, nullable
  - `reply` string: Assistant reply text
  - `usage` object: Token usage statistics

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `402`: Payment required
- `502`: Backend error
