# Cancel a scheduled stream

`DELETE /lives/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.livereacting.com/v1/external`

Cancel a scheduled live stream.

Only streams with status SCHEDULED can be cancelled.
Use [Stop Active Stream](#operation/stopLive) to stop active (LIVE/PREPARING) streams.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

Scheduled stream cancelled successfully

- CancelLiveResponse
  - `message` string: Success message
  - `liveId` string: ID of the cancelled live stream

## Other responses

- `400`: Cannot cancel non-scheduled stream
- `401`: Authentication failed
- `404`: Live stream not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
