# Create a folder

`POST /folders`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.livereacting.com/v1/external`
- URL: `https://api.livereacting.com/v1/external/folders`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Create a new folder for organizing files.

Folder names must be unique within the same file type.

## Request body

- CreateFolderRequest
  - `name` string, required: Folder name (1-100 characters)
  - `type` 'video' | 'image' | 'audio', required: Type of files this folder will contain

## Response `201`

Folder created successfully

- Folder: A folder for organizing media files
  - `id` string: Unique folder identifier
  - `name` string, nullable: Folder name
  - `type` 'video' | 'image' | 'audio', nullable: File type this folder contains
  - `fileCount` integer: Number of files in this folder
  - `createdAt` string, date-time, nullable: Folder creation timestamp

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error
- `401`: Authentication failed
- `409`: Folder already exists
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
