# Delete a folder

`DELETE /folders/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.livereacting.com/v1/external`
- URL: `https://api.livereacting.com/v1/external/folders/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Delete a folder and all files within it.

**Warning:** This is a cascade delete. All files in the folder will be permanently deleted,
and removed from any playlists that reference them.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Response `200`

Folder deleted successfully

  - `message` string
  - `deletedFilesCount` integer: Number of files that were deleted with the folder

## Other responses

- `401`: Authentication failed
- `404`: Folder not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
