# Cancel file import

`DELETE /files/import/{fileId}`

## Request

Cancel an in-progress file import.

Can only cancel imports that are still in progress.

## Path parameters

- `fileId` string, required

## Response `200`

Import cancelled successfully

- `400`: No active transfer to cancel
- `401`: Authentication failed
- `404`: File not found
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded
