# Make the rental bare-metal

`POST /pods/{id}/bare-metal`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://lium.io/api`

  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`

Turns a running rental of a whole node into a bare-metal rental: the node's provider is asked to give the pod's SSH key root on the host. Only on a node whose provider offers bare-metal rentals.
