# Search the web

`GET /v1/search`

## Request

Web search with HTML-free snippets and credibility scores. Primary provider is Brave; when configured, Tavily may answer if Brave is unavailable (see `provider_used`). Requires `Authorization: Bearer ltx_...`. Brave hits may be cached in Redis (`cached: true`); Tavily responses are not cached. Logs usage and returns usage quota.

## Query parameters

- `q` string, required: Search query string (1–500 characters).
- `num_results` integer: Number of search results to return (1–20, default 10).
