# Group rooms without a reference catalog

`POST /rooms/group`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.liteapi.travel/v3.0`
- URL: `https://api.liteapi.travel/v3.0/rooms/group`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

**What it does:** Clusters supplier room names **without** a reference catalog.

**Workflow role:** Outside the main four-step flow — exploration only.

**Use when:** You do not have catalog rooms yet.

**Do not use when:** You have a catalog — use `/rooms/match` or async.

## Request body

- object
  - `debug` boolean: When true, returns parsed entities per room
  - `propertyName` string, required: Display name of the hotel
  - `propertyId` string, required: Stable property identifier in your catalog
  - `parameters` object: Grouping behaviour controls
    - `createGroups` boolean: Must be true to enable clustering
    - `outputAggregation` string[]: Attributes used to form groups. Recommended: roomClass, roomType, bedType, roomView
    - `language` string: Language hint
  - `supplierList` object[], required: One object per supplier channel
    - `supplierName` string, required: Supplier display name
    - `supplierId` string, required: Supplier identifier in your system
    - `supplierRooms` object[], required: Rooms from that supplier for this property
      - `roomId` string, required: Supplier room or rate identifier
      - `roomName` string, required: Raw room title from the supplier feed
      - `bedType` string: Optional bed-type hint
      - `roomType` string: Optional room-type hint
      - `roomClass` string: Optional class hint
      - `roomView` string: Optional view hint
