# Start the day pass with the emailed code

`POST /api/day-pass/start`

## Request

Starts the 24 hours and returns the API key. The code only works with the poll_token of the request it was emailed for. A retry within 10 minutes returns the same key.

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing or invalid fields.
- `409`: `sandbox_already_used` or `email_in_use`.
- `410`: `code_expired` or `sandbox_expired`.
- `422`: `invalid_code`: the code is wrong or expired.
- `429`: `too_many_attempts` after five wrong codes, or `rate_limit_exceeded`.
- `503`: `pass_not_started`: retry the same call.
