# Request a day pass

`POST /api/day-pass/signup`

## Request

Emails the person a link and a 6-digit code. Send accept_terms: true only once the person has agreed to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. One day pass per email address. Every allowed request gets the same 202: if the email cannot get a day pass, the owner is told by email instead.

The email with the link and code was sent.

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing or invalid fields, listed in `issues`.
- `403`: `sandbox_closed`: the day pass is not open right now.
- `422`: `email_not_allowed`: throwaway email services are blocked.
- `429`: `rate_limit_exceeded`, `daily_limit_reached` or `domain_limit_reached`.
