# Update Contact

`PATCH /v1/contact/{contact_id}`

Edit a contact's email, phone, tags and custom field values.

## Path parameters

- `contact_id` integer, required

## Request body

- ContactUpdatePayload: What the dashboard's contact drawer edits. Only the keys sent are changed; an empty email or phone clears it, a null field value clears that field. Platform-synced data (name, username, picture) is not writable.
  - `email` string, nullable
  - `phone_number` string, nullable
  - `tags` string[], nullable
  - `fields` object, nullable

- ContactUpdateResponse: The edited contact's writable data after the update.
