# Add custom domain

`POST /v1/workspace/website/{website_id}/domain`

## Request

Initiates custom domain setup for a website. Returns agent-ready DNS records with instructions.

## Path parameters

- `website_id` string, required: Unique identifier of the website

## Request body

- WebsiteDomainAddRequest
  - `domain` string, required: Custom domain to add to the website

## Response `200`

Custom domain setup initiated with DNS records

  - `success` true, required: Indicates the operation was successful
  - `result` WebsiteDomainAddResult, required
    - `message` string, required: Success message
    - `domain` string, required: The domain being configured
    - `dns_records` DNSRecord[], required: DNS records that need to be configured
      - `record_type` 'CNAME' | 'TXT' | 'A', required: Type of DNS record
      - `host` string, required: Host/name for the DNS record
      - `value` string, required: Value for the DNS record
      - `purpose` string, required: Purpose of this DNS record
    - `instructions` string, required: Human-readable instructions for DNS setup

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - domain already in use or validation error
- `401`: Unauthorized - invalid or missing API key
- `404`: Website not found
- `500`: Internal server error
