# Verify an entity (MCP tool form of the entity check)

`POST /v1/mcp/check-entity`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.limitguard.ai`
- URL: `https://api.limitguard.ai/v1/mcp/check-entity`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - none

MCP tool: entity trust check for LLM agents. Runs the /v1/entity/check engine on entity_name, country, kvk_number and domain only, so up to 5 sources (no IBAN, VAT or wallet).

## Request body

- object
  - `entity_name` string, required: Full legal name of the entity
  - `country` string, required: ISO country code (NL, BE, etc.)
  - `kvk_number` string: Dutch KVK number
  - `domain` string: Entity website domain

## Response `200`

## Other responses

- `402`: Payment required. The x402 v2 challenge is in the base64 PAYMENT-REQUIRED header and the JSON body; pay and retry with PAYMENT-SIGNATURE, or send X-API-Key with prepaid balance.
