# Create budget alert

`POST /api/v3/billing/budget/alerts`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.lighton.ai`
- URL: `https://api.lighton.ai/api/v3/billing/budget/alerts`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Add an alert threshold to the company's budget. Requires CompanyAdmin role.

## Request body

- BudgetAlertCreateRequest
  - `is_enabled` boolean: Whether this alert is active.
  - `threshold_type` 'percentage' | 'absolute', required
  - `threshold_value` string, required: e.g. 75.00 for 75% or 500.00 for 500 EUR.

## Response `201`

- BudgetAlertResponse
  - `id` integer, required
  - `is_enabled` boolean, required
  - `threshold_type` string, required
  - `threshold_value` string, required

## Other responses

- `503`: API is under maintenance. Check `GET /api/v3/system/status` for active periods and retry.
