# Atomically flip escrow into an open rework bounty

`POST /v1/settlements/{id}/flip`

## Request

Owner-only. Locks the expired or vetoed settlement, creates an ordinary open rework bounty with the same pinned checks and money, records bounty_payments provenance, and stores flipped_bounty_id in one transaction. The bounty carries funding.mode=prepaid and funding.funded_at.

## Response `200`

Open funded rework bounty created.

## Other responses

- `409`: Wrong state or settlement was never funded.
