## Request

No key needed. Send email and exactly one of npis (a list), text (NPIs anywhere in it), or a multipart CSV/XLSX file (NPIs in any column). Entries that are not valid NPIs (wrong length or check digit) are listed back in invalid_entries with a reason; repeated NPIs are checked once. Files must be at most 4 MB and requests 4.4 MB. GET /v1/provider-checks/{id} returns the results; the full table is emailed when the check finishes.

  - `ref_code` string: Optional. A campaign code, or a referral code (ref_ followed by 32 hex characters). A person's referral code attributes this email to that person only when a signed-in session with this email sends the request, or, for a vendor list, when its Record watch is paid by this email (one referrer per email, the first one; never the same email or company domain). Nothing is paid until this email's first real payment.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid input, or no valid NPI (invalid_entries lists each entry with its reason).
- `413`: More than 500 NPIs, or a file or request over the size limit.
- `429`: Too many requests. Try again in one hour.
- `503`: Could not save the request. Try again in a minute.
