# Subscribe one requester-balance-funded seat

`POST /v1/maintenance-feeds/{id}/seats`

## Request

  - none
  - HTTP bearer

Adds the authenticated buyer. It never auto-tops-up a card or selects a supplier. max_share_cents is the most this seat pays per cycle; it defaults to the current seat price and cannot be lower. When seats leave and the share rises above it, that cycle is skipped and nobody is charged. Up to 20 seat changes per hour.

## Response `201`

Seat active; returns share_cents and the recorded max_share_cents.

## Other responses

- `409`: Already subscribed, feed inactive, or max_share_cents below the current seat price (share_cents names it).
- `429`: Too many seat changes.
- `503`: Feature disabled, migration absent, or temporarily unavailable.
