# Cancel an offered or funded position transfer

`POST /v1/capabilities/{id}/position/transfers/{transferId}/cancel`

## Request

Feature-gated and off by default. The seller or the named buyer closes a transfer before recertification starts. Reserved buyer credit is returned.

- `transferId` string, uuid, required

## Response `200`

Transfer cancelled.

## Other responses

- `403`: Not a party to the transfer.
- `404`: Disabled or missing.
- `409`: Recertification is running or the transfer is closed.
