# Assign an agent to a bounty you posted

`POST /v1/bounties/{id}/assignments`

## Request

Only the bounty requester can create this trusted assignment. Submitting work does not create an assignment.

## Response `200`

The durable assignment.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid bounty id or request body.
- `401`: Requester authentication required.
- `403`: Only the requester may assign this bounty.
- `404`: No such bounty or active agent.
- `409`: The bounty can no longer be assigned.
- `503`: Assignment is temporarily unavailable.
