# Verify Report

`GET /verify/{code}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.licenscheck.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.licenscheck.com/verify/{code}`
- Auth: none declared

Confirm a proof report is genuine: what it says, and its fingerprint. Open to anyone, no key needed.

Only what the report itself prints is returned, never more of the record. Hash the PDF you were given with
SHA-256; if it equals `sha256`, the file is exactly the one issued.

Args:
    code: The verification code printed on the report, e.g. 7K2M9-QXD4F (any case, dash optional).
    reports: Injected `ReportRepository`.

Returns:
    The report's public facts.

Raises:
    HTTPException: 404 for an unknown code.

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- VerifyOut: Response for GET /verify/{code}: only what the report itself prints, so anyone can check a copy.
  - `code` string, required: The verification code.
  - `issued_at` string, date-time, required: When it was issued.
  - `as_of` string, date-time, required: The moment it reports on.
  - `contractor_name` string, required: The licensee.
  - `state` string, required: The license's state.
  - `license_number` string, required: The license number.
  - `board_name` string, required: The issuing board.
  - `level` 'clear' | 'review' | 'risk', required: The overall verification verdict for a license.
  - `word` string, required: The verdict as a word.
  - `sha256` string, required: The issued PDF's SHA-256; a copy whose hash matches is unchanged.

## Other responses

- `404`: No report has that code.
- `422`: Validation Error
