# Get Deal Memo

`GET /api/external/v2/deals/{deal_id}/memos/{memo_uuid}`

Return one memo for a deal, with signed PDF download links.

Returns both published memos and unpublished drafts; ``status`` and
``published_at`` disambiguate. ``pdf_url`` is null when no rendered variant
exists for the requested ``quality`` (common for drafts that have never been
previewed). Authorizes the deal first (404 when inaccessible), then runs
the single-row memo query through the ``DOCUMENT_GENERATION_STRUCTURE`` READ
policy so a memo this caller can't actually read (e.g. not shared into
their vault when deal-read came via shared vault) is invisible — same 404,
same shape as a missing memo. ``quality`` selects which rendered variant
``pdf_url`` points at (default ``original``); ``pdf_versions`` lists every
variant that exists for this memo (may be empty for unrendered drafts).

Where the deal documents/vaults surface is enabled for the caller, the memo
is tagged with ``vaults`` — the ``{id, type, title}`` of the vaults it lives
in, scoped to the caller's visible vaults (empty when none are visible);
omitted otherwise so vault names don't surface ahead of that launch.
