# Search Lenders

`POST /api/external/v2/deals/{deal_id}/actions/search-lenders`

## Request

Trigger an AI-powered lender search for a deal.

Returns **202** when a new search is initiated, **200** when an existing
search is returned (poll-safe; no new work), or **422** when the deal
does not meet the minimum requirements for lender search.

## Path parameters

- `deal_id` integer, required

## Request body

- SearchLendersRequest: Request body for POST /deals/<id>/actions/search-lenders. Currently empty — clients must send ``Content-Type: application/json`` with ``{}``. Exists to satisfy Rule 5 and to future-proof for optional fields such as ``criteria_override``.
