# Stop the agent in a sandbox

`POST /sandboxes/{sandboxId}/stop`

## Request

Ends the run before it finishes. Its work in progress is lost, and its status becomes `stopped`. The platform stops the sandbox a few seconds after this call, so read the sandbox again to see the new status. Only an org admin can stop a sandbox.
