# Close a dismissible notice for the caller, while its id lasts

`POST /notices/{noticeId}/dismiss`

## Response `200`

Dismissed; a repeat returns the first dismissal

  - `dismissedAt` integer, required

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthenticated
- `403`: The token acts for no person, so there is nobody to close it for (code person_required)
- `404`: Not one of the caller's orgs, or no notice with this id now (code notice_not_found)
- `409`: The notice is critical and stays until its cause is fixed (code notice_not_dismissible)
- `503`: SITE_URL is not set, so actions cannot link to the console (code not_configured)
