# Get Certificate

`GET /api/v1/verifications/{verification_id}/certificate`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://lenz.io`
- URL: `https://lenz.io/api/v1/verifications/{verification_id}/certificate`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Download the warranty certificate for a covered verification.

Resolved by (verification, ACCOUNT), not by verification alone: one cached
analysis can have several holders, each with their own certificate, their
own cap and their own link. Returning "the certificate for this
verification" would hand one customer another customer's document.

Byte-identical to ``/certificate/<certificate_id>.json``. A withdrawn
certificate is still served — it is the record of what was warranted, and
the withdrawal date is on it.

Served whether or not new certificates are currently being issued: an
issued certificate stands.

**Versions.** default: `2026-10-11` receives `ErrorOut`, `2026-05-13` receives `ErrorOutLegacy`.

## Path parameters

- `verification_id` string, required

- `X-Lenz-API-Version` string

## Response `200`

OK

- CertificateOut: The signed warranty certificate of a covered verification, as issued. Its format and the offline check are at https://lenz.io/docs/coverage.

## Other responses

- `default`: An error
