# Create a team

`POST /teams`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://public-api.leexi.ai/v1`
- URL: `https://public-api.leexi.ai/v1/teams`
- Auth: API key in header `Authorization`

Create a team in your workspace. The team inherits your company settings and gets the default email templates.

## Request body

- object
  - `active` boolean: Defaults to `true` on creation. A team can only be deactivated once it has no active users.
  - `name` string, required: The team name. It must be unique within your workspace.
