# Send or resend a vendor W-9 request

`POST /vendors/{id}/w9-request`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1`
- URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1/vendors/{id}/w9-request`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`

Creates or reuses the vendor's tracked W-9 document request and queues an email to the explicit vendor recipient. The email links to the official blank IRS Form W-9, provides a secure upload page, and routes email replies back to the request. Delivery does not mark the W-9 received. Requires manage:contacts and an idempotency-key header.

## Response `200`

Idempotent replay

## Other responses

- `201`: W-9 request queued
- `400`: Recipient email or request content is invalid
