# Void a vendor check

`POST /vendor-checks/{id}/void`

## Request

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`

Void a recorded vendor check in one atomic transaction: voids the journal entry, excludes the posting-API register row, reverses allocation settlement events, restores allocated bill balances/statuses, soft-deletes the payment, and marks the vendor_check void with an audit trail. The voided check number becomes reusable. Cleared checks cannot be voided. Requires the manage:payments role.
