# Prepare a direct Files upload

`POST /tally/files/uploads`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1`
- URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1/tally/files/uploads`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates a short-lived upload reservation for the selected firm or company Files folder. Duplicate names are retained with a unique suffix.

## Request body

  - `companyOrganizationId` string, uuid, nullable
  - `folderPath` string, nullable
  - `fileName` string, required
  - `fileSize` integer, required
  - `mimeType` string, required

## Response `201`

Upload reservation and signed destination
