# Create a Files folder

`POST /tally/files/folders`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1`
- URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1/tally/files/folders`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Creates one durable empty folder in the firm or an authorized company Files location. Repeating the same path is idempotent and returns the existing folder.

## Request body

- object
  - `path` string, required
  - `companyOrganizationId` string, uuid, nullable: Company location UUID, or null/omit for firm Files.

## Response `200`

Existing folder returned idempotently

## Other responses

- `201`: Folder created
- `default`: Error response
