# Update Tally's firm-wide settings contract

`PATCH /tally/contract`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://ledgerhq.pro/api/v1`

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`
  - HTTP bearer and API key in header `x-organization-id`

Applies a partial contract patch (sections are shallow-merged). Notable communication fields: tone, accountantNotifications (important_only | daily_summary | all_activity — governs when routed client messages email the handler immediately), and messageHandlerUserId (uuid of the firm user who receives routed client messages; null falls back to firm owners/admins).
